    21 Steps to help you accomplish your goal:

    1. Envision a clear picture of what you desire. Claim that as your goal.

    2. State your goal, telling people who will support and encourage you.

    3. Hang a goal poster and place motivating pictures in your surroundings.

    4. Devise a course of action to accomplish your goal.

    5. Become confident in reaching your goal.

    6. Set and recognize deadlines, knowing exactly when programs and contests end.

    7. Listen and read motivational material daily.

    8. Develop a consuming and burning desire to reach your goal.

    9. Seek and offer a cooperative spirit. Learn from those who can help and advise you.

    10. Track your work regularly using Weekly Summary Sheets, Weekly Accomplishment Sheets and to-do lists.

    11. Work consistently as if you have blinders on, never drifting from your plan.

    12. Read your affirmations out loud daily.

    13. Control your emotions. Do not fret, worry, complain or talk negatively, preventing anyone or anything from stealing your dream.

    14. Balance your life with Mary Kay’s priorities of God first, family second and career third.

    15. Allow yourself 10 minutes for a "pity party." Vent if you must, then redirect your efforts and begin again.

    16. Develop the courage and belief to keep going. Focus on efforts, not results.

    17. Put forth a sharp, polished, professional image by eating healthy, exercising and getting adequate sleep.

    18. Focus on giving, not getting.

    19. Love others with appreciation, encouragement and guidance through your actions, speech and thoughts.

    20. Pray for wisdom, guidance and trust.

    Independent Beauty Consultant
    Activity Dates

    An Independent Beauty Consultant is considered active in the month a minimum $200 wholesale Section I order is received and accepted by the Company and in the following two calendar months (without regard to the actual day of the month in which the order is received).  For example: If a $200 order is received on April 27, Active Status* for this Beauty Consultant would be for the calendar months of April, May and June.  If a Beauty Consultant does not meet active guidelines, the Beauty Consultant is considered inactive at the end of the third non-ordering month.  (In the example given this would be the month of June).

    IF YOU CHOOSE TO TALK TO A DIQ SPECIALIST PRESS 3.  YOU MAY LEAVE A MESSAGE EVEN LATE AT NIGHT AND ONE WILL GET BACK WITH YOU FIRST THING THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY (HOWEVER, TUESDAY FROM 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. IS THE DEPARTMENT STAFF MEETING). 

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    1.      If I’m not a DIQ yet, may I call a DIQ Specialist?

    Yes, you may call 1-800-347-7666.

    2.      When I am a DIQ, do I have one DIQ Specialist at the Company?

    No, you have several DIQ Specialists. When you call the DIQ Department, the first available Specialist will be glad to help you.

    3.      What if I personally do more than the maximum $4,000 personal production toward the $16,000 requirement?

    Any production over the $4,000 maximum will count toward the $4,000 requirement for each individual month. But $12,000 wholesale production must come from your DIQ unit members to count toward the $16,000 wholesale requirement.

    4.      Will the spouse of one of my team members or my spouse count toward my 30 active unit members?

    No spouse will count in any way toward Sales Director qualification or toward any Company promotions or awards, including qualifying for or maintaining a career car under the Grand Achiever program.

    5.      When will I get my Unit number?

    Once we have the final figures, it will take a few days to assign unit numbers. We normally do this between the 12th and 15th of the month following your last month of DIQ. When you are official and we have assigned unit numbers, we will call you. If you aren’t home, we will leave the information on your recorder.

    6.      When can I order my Sales Director Suit?

    The same business day we call you with your Unit number!

    7.      If my qualifying unit does over $4,000 wholesale production, will the overage count for the next month?

    No. But all of your qualifying unit production does count toward Career Car qualification. This includes the Pink Cadillac!

    8.      If someone pulls out of my qualifying unit by submitting a Commitment Form and then doesn’t meet the production requirement, will she still count for me?

    She will not count for your qualifying unit until the following month provided she doesn’t submit a Commitment Form again that month.

    9.      If one of my qualifying unit team members submits a commitment card while I am in qualification, will I be her Senior Sales Director if I complete my qualification before she does?

    No. You must already be an Independent Sales Director before a unit member submits a Commitment Form to enter the DIQ program.

    10.  What are the qualifications for the career car program?

    Call Career Car Services at 1/972/687-4470.

    11.  Do I need to have $4,000 wholesale production the month before my first month of qualification?

    No. This is not a requirement unless you are in the "building program." However, it is a very good idea to always have $4,000 as your minimum monthly personal team production.

    12.  Do I count as one of the ൦ active unit members?"

    You are counted as one of the ൦ active unit members" as long as you are active the final month. But make 35 active unit members your minimum goal.

    13.  How many times may I submit a Commitment Form?

    After your third submission, if you have not met the requirements a letter will be sent to you explaining that you have one more opportunity before you will be required to go into a "building program". So the maximum submissions is four.
